5 vol., folio; 149 pl. (148 lvs), occ. hand-coloured (sm. defects).
Bound in soft grey suede leather (tr. of use).
Complete set of all 149 engr. maps, plans and orders of battle from the "Histoire militaire de Flandre, depuis l’année 1690, jusqu’en 1694" by the French geographer Jean de Beaurain and largely based on the memoirs of François-Henri de Montmorency, Duke of Piney-Luxembourg. A unique contemporary general's (?) copy, with all text omitted and the maps bound in soft covers, presumably to make these easily available for transport and use on the battlefield.

Prov. Sussenaire (bookpl.).
