Aristide de Biseau (1844-1883) was a prolific landscape painter, specialising in views of northern France and the Ardennes.
Joined: 1. Girot, François-Joseph - Field with horses. Watercolour, 26,5 x 40,5 cm, wove paper, signed in black pen at lower right. Under passe-partout. A rare work by Girot (1873-1917), who was a student of Gustave Moreau. He lost his life on the battlefields of the Somme during WW1 and left only a small but promising oeuvre. - 2-3. Two Landscapes by the riverside. Watercolour, 15,5 x 24 cm and 13 x 17 cm, brown paper, signed and dated in pencil on verso "H.M. 1859". Both under passe-partout. (4 pcs)
