This nice illustrated album containing all 528 hand-coloured lithographic plates by John Nuget Fitch (1840-1927) depicts numerous orchid varieties. Robert Warner (1815-1896) was the author of "Select Orchidaceous Plants", Benjamin Samuel Williams (1822-1890) was the author of "The Orchid-Growers" manual'. The descriptions were written by Thomas Moore (1821-1887), curator of the Chelsea Botanic Gardens.
