Lot description
Monture: 25 cm height, painted open surface: 50 x 16 cm of which 1 cm of the upper margin painted in black; 21 mother-of-pearl sticks with incised biblical scene & flowers (fragile or partly splittings on edges of each sticks, 1 stick replaced by a new blind).
Exact copy after the oil painting by Lebrun (1619-1690) made in 1686 and kept in Modena, Galleria Estense. Ref. http://ressources.louvrelens.fr/exploitation/oeuvre-inv-rcge-no238.aspx.
