8vo: 107-[5] pp.; fold. genealogical table (1st and last ff. toned).

Mod. gilt red morocco, covers with blind-ruled frames and gilt corner pieces, gilt spine with 5 raised bands, a.e.g., gilt inside dentelles, marbled endpapers. Very good copy.

2nd ed. (1st 1572) of a history of the Counts of Champagne and Brie by the French historian Pithou (1539-1596). Printed by Mamert Patisson, who married Robert (II) Estienne’s widow and continued the firm’s activities. Large fold. genealogical table. Woodcut mark on title
