Mod. boards covered with an incunable leaf, old red speckled edges. Very good copy.
First edition in the Low Countries of Erasmus' plea for Church unity, dedicated to Julius Pflug of Eytra (1499-1564). He was the last Catholic bishop of Naumburg and shared Erasmus' concern of irenicism. Added in a short Precatio pro pace ecclesiae, dedicated to the Cologne professor of law Johann Rinck (d. 1566). Woodcut mark on G8v (B.B. s.v. no. 2).
