1-2. Wierix, Antonius II - Philip II, King of Spain, and Isabella Clara Eugenia, Archduchess of Austria. Antwerp, Antonius Wierix, ca. 1579-1604. 2 engravings, 21,4 x 15,4 cm, laid paper with unidentified watermark, both signed in cartouche: "Anton. Wierx fecit et excud.". Portraits in oval strapwork frames with Latin identification of the sitters on the frames. Latin text in strapwork cartouche below. From a series of 4 on the rulers of the Netherlands. Ref. New Hollstein (Wierix) 2010.II (of II) and 2013. - 3. Lommelin, Adriaen. Van Dyck, Anthony (after) - Cardinal-Infante Ferdinand of Austria, Governor of the Spanish Netherlands. Antwerp, Gilles Hendricx, ca. 1650-1675. Engraving, 26,1 x 18,9 cm, laid paper with partial watermark, signed in the plate at bottom left: "Ant. van Dijck pinxit. / Adrian. Lommelin sculpsit." and right "Gillis Hendricx excudit.", Latin identification of the sitter in lower margin. Hinged to cardboard mount at upper edge. From "The Iconography", Van Dyck's famous series of portraits. Second state with signature, address and title. Ref. New Hollstein (Anthony van Dyck) 129.II (of II).
