Publ. binding: 1st vol. (ms.) blind-stamped red chamois, 2nd vol. (text in modern French & commentary) red quarter chamois. Orig. slipcases (sl. used). Good copy.
Fine facimile of one of the earliest didactic treatises on hunting, attributed to Henri de Ferrières and written around 1370 (1st printed ed. 1486). The Brussels manuscript dates from the years 1450-1460 and is famous for its splendid illumination with 56 miniatures of various dimensions. Edition limited to 1600 copies (n. 377).
