Edition gathering the three voyages of Struys undertaken in the second half of the 17th c.: the first to Cape Verde, Madagascar and Siam (Thailand); the second in Italy and the Mediterranean islands and the third in Russia. The work also contains the account of the sinking of a Dutch vessel on the coast of Bengal. Ill. with an engr. front., 20 fold. engr. plates figuring Delphi, Patmos, Judia (near Bangkok), Astrakhan, palaces in Isfahan or Persepolis, scenes of processions, tortures and a maritime map of the Caspian Sea, as well as 9 engr. illustrating the sinking of the Dutch vessel.
