Folio: [4]-CCXLVII ff. (soiling, f. ccxiiii very soiled, large ink stain on title, ff. I-CLII cut short, dampstaining, damp stain on all ff. of quires I and K, marg. wormtracks or wormholes, occ. marg. foxing, printer's mark on f. ccxlvii cut out with missing part restored and marg. tear strengthened, last blank f. missing).

Mod. vellum by A.C.G. Fabioladorp 2, gilt ruled covers with central ornament, gilt ruled spine with raised bands and red leather label (foxing on front cover).

Collected philosophical works of Cicero edited by Benedetto Brugnoli, with extended commentaries surrounding the text by Pietro Marso and Francesco Maturanzio. Reprint of the Milan edition of 20 February 1506. Illustrated with 44 woodcuts in-text (the first showing Cicero giving his book to his son Marcus), 5 identical borders with blank shield, cherubs and mermen in lower part from the "Legendario delli Sancti" (1504). Ornamental initials, some large. Title in Gothic printed in red & black with G. Tacuino's vignette fig. St. John the Baptist.
