Rare first and only ed. of the French translation from the Dutch by Ch. de l’Escluse (Carolus Clusius, 1526-1609) of the "Cruijde Boeck" (1554) of Dodoens (1517-1585). Title within elaborate woodcut border. Large woodcut mark on part title. Over 800 woodcut ill. of plants. (Later) plant names added in handwriting to illustrations.
