Liber primus only of the 3rd ed. of the anatomical textbook by the Leuven professor of medicine Verheyen (1648-1710), 1st publ. Leuven 1693. Ill. with 40 folding plates. The manual was considered an excellent "fruit de nombreuses dissections minutieuses au cours desquelles [Verheyen] vérifia et corrigea au passage les erreurs et les imperfections des anatomistes précédents" (Sondervorst). Woodcut mark on titles. Woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces. Titles in red & black.
