Drawing, black and white chalk, 31,6 x 23,2 cm, brown prepared paper, unsigned (laid down on paper mount, brush strokes visible).
Fine design with attribution on passe-partout to the French Academic painter Prud'hon (1758-1823). The compostion of the design shows many connections to "The abduction of Psyche" from ca. 1808 in Paris (Louvre, inv. RF 831).
