Guicciardini's famous description of the Netherlands (1st Italian ed.: 1567) published here by Janssonius with identical text to the Blaeu 1612 edition, a Dutch translation by Cornelis Kiliaan (1578-1607) of the Italian Plantin edition from 1581. Engr. ill.: coat of arms of the 17 Provinces and 98 (of 100) single or double pl., including one general map of the Netherlands. Without the often-missing pl. of Reinberg (Guicc.
