Contemp. tree marbled sheep by Pickering, gilt supralibros within double gilt decorated frame, gilt spine with 5 raised bands, blue marbled endpapers and edges. Good copy in a nice binding.

Clean copy of Stanley's quest on finding Livingstone with a memoir introducing the latter person. Ill. with 4 full-page pl. out of text, a folding map and 15 pl. in-text.
