1st half 18th c
Drawing, red chalk, 21 x 30 cm, laid paper, unsigned (laid down by all corners on a printed book page, some stains and creases at corners).
A rather impressive drawing of a fallen horse lying on his left side, seen from behind. Drawn after an etching by Jan van Huchtenburg (1647-1733) from a series of 10 etchings of horses wounded in battle, in itself based on designs by Van der Meulen (1632-1690).
