2 drawings, black chalk, 43 x 26 cm each, laid paper, unsigned (laid down on cardboard).
A set of atmospheric drawings with southern pine trees silhouetted against the evening sky. Théo van Rysselberghe (1862-1926) made several journeys to the south (mostly Morocco and Spain) and the sheets can be compared to similar study sheets with symbolist influences in black chalk (e.g. Sale Maison Jules, 18-10-2020).
