Old leather, covers with gilt double ruled border, gilt spine with 5 raised bands, sp. edges (rubbed, head and tail def.). Good rubricated copy.

Rare compact Latin Bible by a famous woman printer, Yolande Bonhomme, widow of Thilman Kerver. "Suit de très près l’éd. de 1526, même adresse, dont le texte reprend certaines des variantes marginales proposées par Alberto Castellano. Les "Interpretationes Hebraicorum nominum" [...] sont celles de la polyglotte d’Alvalá" (Bibles Paris). Title within woodcut border and with large mark of Kerver; full-page mark at the end. Two full-page woodcuts in old colouring (Creation, Stem of Jesse). Printed in 2 col., in a very small Gothic type. A variant issue?(with 12 instead of 16 prelim. ff., and with in the colophon the plain date "1534" instead of "M.D. xxxiij. Octauo idus Januarij").
