Contemp. gilt-ruled calf (corners sl. bumped), covers with gilt oval religious mark, gilt orn. spine with 4 raised bands (front joint and head repaired). Nice copy.
First edition of a typical religious emblem book on the heart by the Benedictine monk B. van Haeften (1588-1648). Engr. ill.: title and 55 emblems by Boetius à Bolswert.
