Three-quarter garnet shagreen signed Schavye, gilt ruled spines with raised bands, gilt coat of arms and crowned initials "Th. D. J." at the bottom of the spines, marbled edges (faded spines, used corners, traces of removed bookpl.).

Nice copy made from manuscripts owned by the Royal Library of Belgium, by the famous Brussels bibliophile and genealogy specialist J.-B.-Th. de Jonghe (1801-1860), whose small, fine and tight handwriting is easily identifiable (ms. contemp. note: "copie faite par Monsieur de Jonghe d'après les manuscrits appartenant à la Bibliothèque royale"). His engraved coat of arms appears in the frontispieces and in the cathedral-style engraved frame adorning the titles of the volumes and parts.
