Rome, Pietro Stefanoni, ca. 1595
Etching and engraving, 16,5 x 11,7 cm, laid paper, signed in the plate at lower left corner "Lo.c. Petri Stephanony exc." (trimmed just outside the platemark with thread margin, sl. soiled, some creases, some brown spots at upper left, sm. def. with loss of paper at lower edge).
The Virgin Mary seated in profile facing right and holding the infant Christ on her lap, with four airborne angels behind them to right, one of them holding a censer. Second and final state.
