Drawing, red chalk (sanguine), framing lines in pen and red ink, 49 x 36 cm, laid paper with watermark (Fleur-de-lis, Heawood 1840), signed at lower right corner "H. Omalias (?)" (some stains in the margins, not affecting the image).

Wonderful study of a Roman soldier wearing a helmet with a dragon on top. After an unidentified painting by Raphael (perhaps St George slaying the dragon). Title below the image "Tête de Guerrier" and "Dans le tableau à belvedère peint par Raphael".
