Re-edition (first ed.: "an X" [1802]) of this work written by Daunou (1761-1840), main author of the Constitution of the "An III", professor of philosophy and theology, actor of the Revolution although imprisoned for a while, for a time president of the "Cinq-Cents", in charge of the administration of the Library of the Pantheon, then appointed archivist by Napoleon. He is the author, among others, of an "Essai sur les garanties individuelles".
