Third edition (first 1769-1770) of this work by the French physician and cartographer Guyot (1706-1786). Ill. with 102 full page engr. pl. With chapters on card games, playing chess, magnetism ("jeux de l'aiman"), games based on optics and perspective and finally on flammable air, water and fire. "Recueil infiniment plus complet que tous ceux parus depuis, y compris les Robert Houdin" (Caillet). At the end of vol. 3 is a price list of the used instruments used at Guyot's instrument shop.
