Both bifolium (31,5 x 21,5 cm), on paper, in Italian and Latin. Well preserved.
Claude Lamoral (1618-1679), 3rd Prince of Ligne, Prince of Épinoy, Marquis of Roubaix and Count of Fauquemberg was a nobleman and diplomat from the Spanish Low Countries in the service of Philip IV of Spain and Charles II of Spain, who became Viceroy of Sicily (1670–1674), where he fortified the coastal defences against Turkish pirates.
1. Printed text, with ms. notes and signatures (remains of red wax, original folds). 9 April 1671. Copy addressed to the "Giurati della Città di Sciacca". Decree on the fortification of the coastal defences against Turkish pirates. - 2. Manuscript copy of a decree by Charles II of Spain and Mariana of Austria on financial matters related to Girgenti. 11 June 1674. With ms. notes, address, and covered wax seal.
