Drawing, watercolour, 15,5 x 24,3 cm, thick vellum paper, signed at lower left and on verso "COROT" (lower corners torn, glue marks on verso).

This famous painter of the French Barbizon school, Camille Jean-Baptiste Corot (1797-1875) often painted views of the large pond on the property he had inherited from his parents at Ville-d'Avray. Testimony to this are his paintings on canvas of the lakeside, now at the National Gallery in Washington D.C., and the Metropolitan Museum New York (inv. 87.15.141).
Joined: 1. Idem - Forest view. Litho, 31 x 27 cm, vellum paper, with red stamp at lower left "Vente Corot" and dry stamp at lower right "VH". Under passe-partout.-- 2. Anonymous - Coastal landscape. Litho, 24,5 x 19,5 cm, vellum paper, unsigned (laid down on paper mount, some creases). (3 pcs)
