Unique manuscript map of the Namur Fortress with Fort Guillaume drawn on the occasion of the Second Siege in 1695. Compared to Jaillot's "Plan de la ville et chasteau de Namur" (1695) it has the same ravelins (or: demi-lunes), but the entrenchment at the western side of the city shows supplementary lunettes also present on Le Pautre's "Plan et profil de la ville et du chasteau de Namur" (1695) which renders the situation slightly different (earlier?) then on the manuscript map "Plan des ataques de Namur assiegé par le roy d'Angleterre investy le 1r juillet et rendu à son obéisance le 1 septembre 1695".

Prov. According to the previous owner, this drawing was part of a collection owned by Duc de Frémont de la Mermeillère, Vauban's son-in-law.
