Oblong 4to: [engr. title]-[4]-[14]-223-[2] pp.; 50 pl. (clumsy failed censorship on title, one pl. with portraits loose, some dampstaining in corners and on margins).

Contemp. vellum, flat spine. Good copy.

Later edition of this nicely illustrated work by J. Colom (1600-1673), printer, bookseller and mapmaker. Ill. with an engr. title, 47 maps and 3 plates with 117 small portraits of noblemen. "This atlas had been dated 1660 in view of an indication in the description of Amsterdam [...]: "In 't jaer duysent ses hondert negen en vijftich, zijn noch twee houte Lootsen om te Predicken gesticht, d'een by de Soutkeeten of Bickers Eylant [...], en d'andre by Kattenburgh, met de naem van Oost-kerck, daar voorleede Kersdag, 1659 d'eerste Predication gedaen zijn". The building of the new town hall in Enkhuizen in 1662 was not yet announced" (Koeman). Printed in 2 col. in Gothic type.
