A beautiful, colourful and rare litho by Henri Evenepoel, depicting an old mariner gazing out at the vastness of the ocean, undisturbed by the group of people waving beside him. The contrast between the casual mariner and the dressed-up bourgeois women in the background is what generates a strong impression on the viewer, together with its large areas of magnificent colouring.
