First and only edition of this series by A. Reichenow (1847-1941), the prominent German ornithologist of his day. Ill. with 33 large chromolithogr. plates showing a total of 258 parrots of various plumage, after aquatints by G. Mützel, "considéré comme le plus important dessinateur d'oiseaux allemand après J.A.
