10 etchings, 14,2 x 9,4 cm (platemarks), laid paper, some with partial watermark (Strasbourg lilly?), wide margins, signed in the plate at bottom "Callot F.".

10 plates from the famous series "La Noblesse de Lorraine" (12 pl.), with representations of full-length figures in the high point of French fashion at the court of Louis XIII. It is not completely clear whether Callot was depicting the courtly style or rather commoners mockingly imitating that fashion. Very fresh, clear impressions.
