Antwerp, ca. 1650

Etching, 14,5 x 24,7 cm, laid paper, signed in the plate at lower right edge "D. Teniers in. et Excud." (sm. rust spot above village house, brown spot at lower right corner).

Under textile passe-partout, under gilt wooden frame (not studied outside frame).

Scene with eight figures in the practice of archery shooting at a target stand, two farms to the left, trees and a town (Antwerp?) in the background. Nice, well balanced toning.

Joined: Idem - Sitting peasant with pipe and jug. Etching, 7,3 x 5,5 cm, laid paper, signed in the plate at lower left corner "D. Teniers inv. et fec." (some scratches with loss of paper at lower left corner). Good even impression of second state. Ref. Hollstein XXIX:20.2. (2 pcs)
