Lot description
[Leuven, [18th c.]
Both bound in contemp. quarter sheep, gilt spine with 4 raised bands (rubbed, joints splitting, tail def.). In good condition (some thumbing, minor staining).
1. Elementa astronomiae. After 1769 (year stated in a list of observations), i.a. discussing Copernicus’ views. 4to (ca 18,5 x 11,5 cm): [105 + 5 bl.] ff., on paper, in Latin, brown ink. Enriched with 7 folding engravings by "C.H. Becker ex Lov.".-- 2. Tractatus de motu corporum, with questions and answers. 4to (ca 18,5 x 11,5 cm): [90] ff., on paper, in Latin, brown ink. Student’s hands with corrections, a few pen diagrams.
